LOCATION: Jungfrau, Switzerland
This item is part of my Contiki Trip Series.
There are ice caves at the top of Jungfrau. It’s actually part of the glacier that’s outside the window of the Jungfraujoch. It’s a walkthrough museum type with cut-in displays along the way. Inside are various ice sculptures and photo moments.
There are also several ice tunnels to walk through along the way. These ice tunnels are man-made but carved out of the natural glaciers that are there. Walking through them was fun, very slippery and cold to say the least. If I didn’t feel so bad, I think it would have been fun to slide everywhere.
*Thank you Shiran and Sue-Anne for accompanying me on this adventure
WOULD I DO IT AGAIN?: Jungfrau was amazing to visit and the ice tunnels were cool. Now, where to go in some natural ice tunnels?
Contiki Travel is HIGHLY recommended. I would do this all over again a million times. www.contiki.com
