LOCATION: Venice, Italy
This item is part of my Contiki Trip Series.
The canals of Venice were very interesting to see. It is amazing to think that the transportation around this city is all through the waterways. We left our campsite and headed by boat into Venice. The banks of the waterways were littered with buildings, 170 to be exact. Most of them are from the 18th century. I’m a sucker for old architecture and this was gorgeous. It was interesting to see all the gothic and renaissance buildings; you definitely can’t get that authentic quality back in the States.
*Thank you Shiran and Sue-Anne for accompanying me on this adventure
WOULD I DO IT AGAIN?: Traveling by boat is the common thing to do in Venice, so when in Rome…er….Venice, do as the Venetians do!
Contiki Travel is HIGHLY recommended. I would do this all over again a million times. www.contiki.com
