LOCATION: London, England
This item is part of my Contiki Trip Series.
I always believed that the tower itself was called Big Ben and was shocked to find out that the bells inside the clock tower is what is actually called Big Ben. The tower is located on the side of the House of Parliament and was definitely a sight to see since it is so iconic of London. I expected it to be really big, but it was smaller than what I thought. The gothic texture of the building was amazing to see, as well as the entire structure with the House of Parliament. When the clock struck on the hour, a loud chime struck out. I was able to feel the vibrations from the chime from my head to my toes, it was truly strong.
*Thank you Lisa for accompanying me on my adventure.
WOULD I DO IT AGAIN?: I was able to see it several times while in London so I don’t need to go again. I do think it is a must see sight though.
HOW TO DO THIS: The clock tower is located beside the House of Parliament. Take the London Tube station for Westminster.
Contiki Travel is HIGHLY recommended. I would do this all over again a million times. www.contiki.com
